Kaylie

After high school Kaylie plans to attend Eastern Illinois University to study criminal psychology. Her favorite thing to do a CHS was to annoy Mr. Hudson. A fun fact about Kaylie is that she loves to spend her free time outside, playing tennis, and painting.

Bryce

After high school Bryce plans to go into business and real-estate. The things he will miss the most about high school are his friends and some of his teachers. Bryce’s favorite thing to do at CHS was to help out Mrs. Brimmer. He would like to thank Judah Bryant for encouraging him to go out and do new things and for helping him become the person he is today. A fun fact about Bryce is that he likes being with friends and doing what makes him happy.

Makenzie

After high school Makenzie plans to attend a four-year university. She is currently interested in Pre-Law and Plant Biotech. She also plans to get a dog! When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said, “I have become better able to express myself and try new things” The things she is going to miss the most about CHS are being able to see her friends every day and the cookies from the cafeteria. Makenzie’s favorite thing to do a CHS was to play home volleyball games and go to school dances. Makenzie would like to thank Mr. Keating for listening to her, and to her best friends Jake, Connor, Jacasta, Madeline, and Alex. Also, Logan for giving her Cracker Barrel discounts.

Jackson

After high school Jackson plans to go to college for sound design and technology. The one thing Jackson will miss the most about high school is getting to see his friends every day. His favorite thing to do at CHS was to be a part of Maximum Forte and get hands on experience with what he wishes to do. Jackson would like to thank Mrs. sharp and his other teachers. A fun fact about him is that he enjoys hiking and spending time with his friends.

Amy

After high school Amy plans to save up some money to buy her own house. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said she has become a lot more mature. The one thing she will miss the most about CHS is her younger friends. Amy’s favorite thing to do at CHS was to help her fellow students learn and get better grades. Amy would also like to thank her English teacher, Mrs. Hackett. A fun fact about her is that she likes to make blankets for her family and friends.

Isaac

After high school Isaac plans to go to college. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said his grades have changed a lot. The one thing Isaac is going to miss the most about CHS is his teachers. Isaac said his favorite thing to do at CHS was everything! He would like to thank Mrs. Etchison. A fun fact about Isaac is that he is 25% Iranian.

Rain

After high school Rain plans to travel somewhere new. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said not a lot has changed since freshman year. Rain would like to thank the CHS staff. A fun fact about Rain is that he has his own clothing brand.

Emily

After high school Emily plans to attend Eastern Illinois University to major in geography and minor in broadcast meteorology.  The things she is going to miss the most about CHS are the football games and seeing all the people she has grown up with. Emily’s favorite thing to do at CHS was to go to games and dances with her friends. She would like to thank her family for always supporting her and her best friend Ella for never leaving her side. A fun fact about Emily is that she loves weather and wants to be a weatherwoman when she graduates college.

Lavonte

After high school Lavonte would like to go to college for nursing. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior Lavonte said a lot has changed from freshman year till now. The one thing he is going to miss the most about CHS is socializing with his classmates. A fun fact about Lavonte is that he loves to weightlift.

Raiden

After high school Raiden would like to fix and work on cars. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said that his mom works at the high school now. The one thing Raiden is most looking forward to senior year is graduation. The thing he is going to miss the most about high school is seeing his friends every day. Raiden’s favorite thing about CHS was sitting in the parking lot and hanging out with his friends. He would like to thank Mr. Hanner and Mr. Gunther. A fun fact about Raiden is that he loves to work on cars.

Whitley

After high school Whitley plans to attend Lake Land Community College and then transfer to a four-year university. She then plans to attend medical school in hopes of becoming a dermatologist. The two things Whitley is going to miss the most about CHS are her teachers and having less responsibility. Her favorite things about CHS were her yearbook class and the random P.E. games. Whitley would like to thank her parents and all her teachers for helping her with everything. A fun fact about her is that she loves to make food, spend time outside, and hang out with her friends.

Delaney

After high school Delaney would like to travel for a while and then attend Illinois College to major in environmental studies. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said, her outlook on what her life will look like after college has become clearer. She is also excited to experience many new things. The things Delaney is going to miss the most about CHS are her friends, fellow classmates, and teachers. Her favorite thing to do at CHS is talk to her old teachers. She also loved seeing people in the hallway who say hi or good morning, even if she has no clue who they are. Delaney would like to thank her parents and her closest friends; she wouldn't be the person she is today without them. A fun fact about Delaney is that she loves spending time working on ceramic sculptures and jamming out to music in the car with her friends.

Cassey

After high school Cassey would like to attend Lakeland and eventually open her own art business. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said, her group of friends has changed, and she knows that the ones she has now are her friends for life. Cassey is going to miss seeing all her friends every day and going to band to preforming in front of people. Her favorite thing about CHS was all the teachers she had. They were really nice and made her want to learn. She also had a lot of once in a life experiences in marching band. Cassey would like to thank Kenna McPeak, Ethan Sicilian, Ivy Benson, and all her other friends for making high school a lot easier to deal with. A fun fact about Cassey is that she painted the calculator covers in Mr. Hudson's classroom.

Rachel

After high school Rachel would like to get her CNA so she can start helping people. The one thing she is most looking forward to senior year is graduating. Her favorite thing to do here at CHS was to go to the library and read. Rachel would like to thank Miss Loper, she helped her a lot through this year and has allowed her to move on from a lot of things. A fun fact about her is that she loves to read and help people, that's why she wants to get her CNA.

Sadie

After high school Sadie plans to attend EIU to study early childhood education to become a kindergarten teacher. The one thing she is most looking forward to this year is getting to be Cinderella in the musical this year! They have a beautiful new stage, and she is excited to perform on it. Sadie is going to miss the goofy, dorky music kids and all the inside jokes they share. Her favorite thing about CHS was being in the musicals and competing with Maximum Forte. A fun fact about Sadie is her and her parents remodeled a 1980's camper this year and she has had a lot of fun. She loves interior design and wants to live in the camper when it's finished.

Caleb

After high school Caleb would like to live out on his own for a few years before eventually either going to a trade school for welding or a college for mechanics. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said, “I've had the opportunity to open up and I have had more fun than my previous years. I've also been able to drive to and from and eat wherever I want during lunch.” Caleb is most looking forward to graduating and living on his own this year. The one thing he is going to miss the most about high school is all the people he has known for most of his life. Caleb’s favorite part of CHS was being able to use his hands during Ag classes and he also liked chilling with his friends. He would like to thank himself for continuing with his schooling instead of dropping out like some other students. He would also like to thank his parents who have constantly kept him on track. A fun fact about Caleb is that he likes to collect different things related to sports, antiques, movies, videogames, etc. He also is an inspiring voice actor who has voiced in one and soon to be multiple YouTube videos.

Sofia

After high school Sofia would like to go to college to study something related to the arts. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said, “I definitely feel more involved at school. Our class has gotten closer to each other, we appreciate each other because we made it together. I've learned to love this school and make the most of my last year.” Sofia is most looking forward to graduating, she can’t wait to take control of her own life and get her diploma despite the challenges her and class have faced. The one thing she is going to miss the most is the community, she has made so many friends and the best part of coming to school, is knowing her friends and favorite teachers will be here. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to attend the pep rallies, we only experienced two, but she said they were hands down the best. Sofia would like to thank all the staff that help make her school experience better. It's comforting to know they have my back and truly care about my success and future. A fun fact about Sofia is that she loves fashion, cinematography, and apple farming.

Adriana

After high school Adriana would like to attend Lakeland then transfer to EIU to study biological sciences. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said, she finally can drive now! The one thing Adriana is most looking forward to about being a senior is the spring musical because it's Cinderella. It’s the last musical she can watch as a senior, and it’s her sister's first high school musical. Plus, her best friend is Cinderella! The thing she is going to miss the most about CHS is her teachers and the cafeteria honey mustard. Adrianas favorite thing to do at CHS was to see her friends every day and film Charleston Chews videos with Kaylee for Journalism. She would like to thank her best friends Lindsay and Abby for making her senior year amazing and always making her days better. A fun fact about Adriana is she loves to play guitar, video games, and ride her bike.

Logan

After high school Logan would like to either work towards owning his own tech help business or become self-employed through content creation. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said, his classes have become more lenient, and he has become more involved in school programs. The one thing Logan is most looking forward to about being a senior is getting to participate in classes that cover topics that he is interested in. The thing he is going to miss the most about CHS is being in a consistent social environment. Logans favorite thing to do at CHS was to meet new people since you never really notice just how many different personalities and interests the people, you're surrounded by have. He would like to thank Kenna McPeak for being the reason he was willing to put up with another year of school. A fun fact about Logan is he streams on twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/mckiix.

Taytum

After high school Taytum would like to become either a high school history teacher or a social worker. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said the way we learn has become a lot better at CHS. The one thing Taytum is most looking forward to about being a senior is graduation and moving to college. The thing she is going to miss the most about CHS is living so close to the school and all the teachers here. Taytum’s favorite thing to do at CHS was to attend science club demo nights and science experiments. She would like to thank all the people who supported her, her family, friends, and teachers. A fun fact about Taytum is that she loves to drive, and she is a heart surgery survivor.

Karah

After high school Karah would like to go to Lakeland to play softball. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said the class load has gotten a lot easier. The one thing Karah is most looking forward to senior year is graduation. The thing she is going to miss the most about high school is seeing her classmates every day. Karah’s favorite thing about CHS was getting to play varsity softball. Some of her favorite memories at CHS happened out on the field. She would like to thank her parents, siblings, and friends for always supporting her. A fun fact about Karah is that she enjoys hanging out with her friends and playing softball in her free time.

Madeline

After high school Madeline would like to work in genetics, she would like to be either a genetic counselor or something else in the medical field. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said her relationships with her teachers has become much stronger. The one thing Madeline is most looking forward to senior year having Mr. Keating as a teacher and a coach this year. She is going to miss seeing her friends and all the memories she has made here. Madeline’s favorite thing about CHS was hanging out with her friends and learning a lot of new things.  She would like to thank Mr. Keating for pushing her to be her best and her parents for always being there for her. A fun fact about Madeline is that she used to play field hockey and she wishes we had it here at CHS.

Trinity

After high school Trinity would like to go to college to become either a chef or a mechanic. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said that everything about herself has changed. Trinity is most looking forward to graduating this spring. The one thing she is going to miss the most about CHS is her favorite teacher. Trinity’s favorite thing about CHS was getting to see her friends every day. Trinity would like to thank Mrs. Keeton. A fun fact about Trinity is that she is quiet around new people.

Megan

After high school Megan is planning to attend a four-year university to major in pre-med or biology before applying to medical school to become a surgeon. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said “the amount of freedom and responsibility involved in school activities and classes has definitely gotten more pronounced.” Megan is most looking forward to stepping into more leadership roles her senior year and enjoying the last year of high school with her friends. Megan is going to miss band performances, Maximum Forte performances, and just hanging out with some of her favorite people. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to perform in Maximum Forte and play in almost every band offered at CHS. Megan would like to thank the entire music department, including Mr. Dubs, Mrs. Sharp, Jake Reeley, Kenna McPeak, Taylor Himes, and her entire Maximum Forte family. She would also like to thank her parents, Michael, and Amelia, for keeping her on task and her siblings, Eli, and Paige, for always believing in her. A fun fact about Megan is that she is award-winning beatboxer for Maximum Forte.

Austin

After High school Austin would like to go to Lakeland to become a dental hygienist. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said she has a lot more freedom this year compared to previous years. Austin is most looking forward to graduating and her senior solo for dance. Austin is going to miss going to Friday night football games. Her favorite part about CHS was performing at games and competing with her dance team. Austin would like to thank all her teachers, the Trojets, and her friends. A fun fact about Austin is that she can play the ukulele and a little piano.

Keely

After high school Keely would like to go to Lakeland to study photography. After Lakeland she plans to become a flight attendant to travel the world and take photos. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said she has made a lot of underclassman friends and she will be sad when she must leave them this spring. She has also had to think a lot more about her future as she progressed through high school. Keely is most looking forward to getting to make her last high school memories and making them the best. Keely is going to miss seeing her friends in class and making jokes with them. Also, messing with the teachers and always laughing about random things in class. And of course, the student section. Her favorite part of CHS was getting ready for the student section and having the best time with her grade screaming and cheering as loud as they possible could. Keely would like to thank Mrs. Scamihorn. A fun fact about Keely is that she loves Harry Styles and One Direction.

Spencer

After high school Spencer would like to continue his education and work. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said that he has made a lot of new friends in school and had a lot of awesome experiences. The thing Spencer is most looking forward to about senior year is enjoying every moment with his friends. Spencer is going to miss his teachers and friends when he graduates. His favorite thing about CHS was being able to go to sporting events and swim for the boy’s swim team. Spencer would like to thank his parents and all the great teachers he has had that have helped him get to this moment. A fun fact about spencer is that he loves swimming and playing baseball.

Taylor

After high school Taylor would like to study audio engineering and sound production. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said music has become much more important to her. The thing Taylor is most looking forward to about senior year is not having spring finals. Taylor is going to miss all the connections she has made with her teachers throughout her high school career. Her favorite thing here at CHS was the hour-long lunches. A fun fact about Taylor is that she loves to watch rom coms in her free time. Taylor would like to thank Mrs. Brimner for being her at-school therapist for all high school and being so supportive.

Jacob

After high school Jacob would like to attend Lakeland community college to learn how to weld. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said that he has matured a lot since freshman year. The one thing Jacob is looking forward to most senior year is graduation. Jacob is going to miss seeing his friends every day. His favorite thing to do at CHS was to hang out with his friends. A fun fact about Jacob is that he loves to watch derby’s, race, and ride 4 wheelers. Jacob would like to thank Mrs. Warman, Mrs. Camp, Mrs. Valenevaches, and his parents.

Jacasta

After high school Jacasta would like to attend medical school to become a pathologist. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said ‘’I've grown more socially competent and have seen my interests and style evolve over the past years.” The thing that Jacasta is most looking forward to senior year is graduating and being able to focus her education on subjects she wants to learn about. Jacasta is going to miss knowing everyone in her classes. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to doodle on all her worksheets and to spend her day with her friends. A fun fact about Jacasta is that she adores cats and she’s happiest when reading a book with one curled in her lap.

Kailyn

After high school Kailyn will be pursuing her athletic and academic career at Parkland Community College. She then plans to transfer to the University of Illinois to major in Hospitality and Management. After college she would like to open her own coffee shop or bakery. When asked what has changed most since becoming a senior, she said “I am more social, and I have stepped outside of my comfort zone to talk to people outside of my friend group.” The thing that Kailyn is most looking forward to senior year is graduating. The thing Kailyn is going to miss the most about CHS is her high school softball family. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to get ready and attend dances like homecoming and prom. A fun fact about Kailyn is that she loves to travel and go white-water rafting. Kailyn would like to thank her friends and family for always believing in her and helping her grow into the person she is today.

Emma

After high school Emma would like to attend EIU to get a bachelor’s of science in nursing. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior she said that she has more freedom throughout the school day and more of an opportunity to take classes outside of the building. The things Emma is most looking forward to senior year is all the opportunities offered to seniors and all the fun activities. Emma is going to miss all her sporting events and teams. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to attend the sporting events and musicals. Emma would like to thank her parents, her family, and her teachers for all the support growing up. A fun fact about Emma is that she is the oldest sibling with six younger siblings.

Isabel

After high school Isabel would like to attend Lakeland and then transfer to the University of Illinois to eventually become a librarian. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said the responsibilities have increased compared to last year. The things Isabel is most looking forward to senior year is attending prom and graduating. Isabel is going to miss all her teachers after she graduates. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to write and read books during study hall. A fun fact about Isabel is that she loves to write and plans to publish her own books in the future.

Tristan

After high school Tristan would like to get his pharmacy degree and become a pharmacist. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said that since covid school here at Charleston has changed a lot and so have many of his classmates. The things Tristan is most looking forward to senior year is the freedom of taking classes that he enjoys and knowing the teachers better. Tristan is going to miss having a consistent group of people he has known for years and the teachers here at CHS. His favorite thing to do at CHS is to sing with maximum forte, he said it was definitely the highlight of his time here and he would never turn down an opportunity to sing with them. Tristan would like to thank all the teachers who put up with his jokes even when they weren't always the best jokes. Especially Mrs. Sharp who has been through the worst of it. A fun fact about Tristan is that he loves to make arrangements of songs for his a cappella group Maximum Forte.

Alex

After high school Alex wants to become a physical therapist. He is most looking forward to becoming an adult after high school. The one thing he is going to miss most about CHS is seeing his friends every day. Alex’s favorite thing to do at CHS was to make memories with his friends. Alex would like to thank all the teachers and staff. A fun fact about Alex is that he likes to lift weights.

Azriel

After high school Azriel wants to attend EIU to get his bachelors science of nursing degree. After college he plans on going to medical school to specialize in pathology or emergency medicine. Azriel is most looking forward to going to college and having more free time aside from school. His favorite part of CHS was getting to go out to eat or go home for lunch. Azriel would like to thank to Mrs. Brimner for 3 years of English, and Mr. Hudson for teaching him lots of math. A fun fact about Azriel is that he currently has 3 jobs and for a portion of his senior year he was working 35 hours a week.

LeeAnn

After high school LeeAnn wants to attend college to become a pediatric allergist. Leeann is most looking forward to graduating early. The one thing she is going to miss the most about CHS is her friends. Her favorite part about CHS was being a part of FFA. LeeAnn would like to thank her family for helping her get through high school. A fun fact about LeeAnn is that she has a pet chinchilla named Dusty.

Kenna

After high school Kenna wants to become a radiologic technologist. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said she now knows where she wants to go to college. Kenna is most looking forward to her senior nights and college visits. The things she is going to miss most about CHS are her friends, teachers, and the band. Her favorite part of CHS was being a part of the marching band. Kenna would like to thank all the band members from 2019-2023, Mr. Wengerski, Mrs. Brimner, Mrs. Thorn, Mrs. Hernandez, All her friends, all of her family, Cassey Melton, Logan McKibben, Ethan Sicilian, and Megan Heise. A fun fact about Kenna is that she owns a telescope that she can take pictures of the moon with.

Emily

After high school Emily wats to attend Lakeland to get her cosmetology and esthetics certificates. After she would like to transfer to Parkland to get her associates degree to become occupational therapy assistant. She is most looking forward to being done with school so she can help people. The things she is going to miss the most about CHS is seeing her friends and teachers, arguing with Mr. Hudson, and cooking almost every day in Culinary 2. Emily’s favorite thing to do at CHS was to participate in the performing arts club because it lets her show off her unique talents like contortionism. She would like to thank her family for always supporting her on her best and worst days, Mrs. Pendergast (P-Dub) for being like a school mom to her and listening to her and helping her work through her hard days at school, Mr. Keating who taught her that it's ok to be a little nerdy, and her dog Sasha Marie who helped her procrastinate. A fun fact about Emily is that she has been practicing opera music since 7th grade and was able to sing with the Advanced Choir and EIU's chorus and orchestra at Doudna for an opera concert.

Gabby

After high school Gabby wants to get her CNA and continue her career in the nursing home setting. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said she has become more motivated to study and do schoolwork. The one thing she is going to miss the most about CHS is all the memories she has made. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to hang out with her friends during passing periods and lunch. Gabby would like to thank her teachers. A fun fact about Gabby is that she loves to help others.

Emma

After high school Emma wants to become an elementary school teacher. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said not a lot has changed. The one thing she is going to miss the most about CHS is her teachers. Emma enjoyed being involved in clubs here at CHS. She would like to thank Mrs. Brimner and her family and friends. A fun fact about Emma is that she loves to watch sports especially baseball.

Macy

After high school Macy wants to attend Lakeland then transfer to the University of Arizona to become a psychiatrist. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said her mindset and maturity has improved greatly. Macy is most looking forward to graduating. The things she is going to miss the most about CHS are seeing her friends every day and attending games in the student section. Macy would like to thank her parents for always pushing her to do her best. A fun fact about Macy is that she loves volleyball.

Alex

After high school Alex wants to go into computer engineering. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said the block scheduling is different compared to the previous years. Alex is most looking forward to his senior night for soccer. The thing he is going to miss the most about CHS is the social aspect of school. His favorite part of CHS was being apart of the soccer team. Alex would like to thank his parents Scott and Shelly Dow. A fun fact about Alex is that he like reading and Pokémon.

Laney

After high school Laney wants to go to college and become a dental hygienist. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said that she has learned how to be unique and not like everyone else. Laney is most looking forward to prom and graduation this year. The things she is going to miss most about CHS are seeing her friends every day and dressing up for the student section. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to go to basketball and football games. Laney would like to thank her best friend Kaylee for always being there for her. A fun fact about Laney is that she plays tennis, and she is co-chair of the dance committee for student council.

Josie

After high school Josie wants to go to college and go into the medical field. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said that nothing has changed. Josie is most looking forward to prom this year. The thing she is going to miss the most about CHS is seeing her friends every day. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to cheer at the football games. Josie would like to thank Mrs. Watson for being there to talk to 24/7. A fun fact about Josie is that she has a ton of brothers.

Macayla

After high school Macayla wants to go to Lakeland or Parkland and become a vet tech. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said that she has become way more responsible. Macayla is most looking forward to graduating. The things she is going to miss the most about CHS is hanging out with her friends and participating in the student section. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to attend ag trips. Macayla would like to thank her parents for always encouraging her and her brother for always keeping her positive. A fun fact about Macayla is that she is an animal lover.

Kale

After High school Kale wants to major in music education. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said that there are a lot more responsibilities. Kale is most looking forward to graduating and moving to Michigan. The thing she is going to miss most about CHS is watching the band preform at football games. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to go to school dances. Kale would like to thank Mrs. Bales and her best friend Chasity. A fun fact about Kale is that she loves to sing.

Derion

After high school Derion wants to go to college and find a good job. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, he said that he feels older and thinks that he is growing up too fast. Derion is most looking forward to graduating this year. The thing he is going to miss most about CHS is his teachers. His favorite thing to do at CHS was to do his schoolwork. Derion would like to thank his teacher Ms. G.

Kambrynn

After high school Kambrynn wants to go into the criminal justice field to become a homicide investigator or a parole officer. When asked what has changed the most since becoming a senior, she said everything has changed, "It feels like just yesterday I was in preschool, scared, and never wanting to grow up." Kambrynn is most looking forward to graduating early and getting a fresh start in college. The things she is going to miss most about CHS are her friends and teachers. Her favorite thing to do at CHS was to go to the school functions and events. Kambrynn would like to thank her family for always supporting her no matter what, the teachers that helped her one on one, and the very few friends that kept it real with her. A fun fact about Kambrynn is that she has been writing a couple books that she hopes to get published someday.
