Today for Hispanic Heritage Month, we will discuss Cesar Chavez – A civil rights activist who was a leader in the fight to improve working and living conditions of farm workers in the United States. Chavez co founded the National Farm Workers Association in 1962 which later merged with other unions to become the United Farm Workers of America.
Our Weekly focus this week is to Step Up and Step In. CMS staff will be looking for students who can help stop a negative situation by stepping up and stepping in.
CMS Press is back, and we are looking for the next group of students who are ready to be a part of our 24-25 team. If you like writing, taking pictures, interviewing others, or keeping up on the latest news and trends, then the CMS Press has a spot for you. We will have an informational meeting on Friday, Sept. 20, from 8:00-8:15 in Mr. Pitcher’s room. Contact Ms. Bickford or Mr. Pitcher if you have questions.
