This week in science the 8th grade Gold Team students have been investigating Newton's Three Laws of Motion. We explored with balloon rockets and designing race cars!

Scholastic Book Fair is this week! The Book Fair runs all week through Friday, Oct. 15. It will be open before school for students and during Parent Teacher Conferences. 8Gold Team have picked their Smarty Pant students for the month of September. These students are responsible, proactive & show kindness to others! Congratulations to Emma & Ryan!
CMS students enjoy a few games to celebrate the completion of Habit 1: Be Proactive. Students will spend the next month learning skills and ways to set goals and follow them through as they begin with the end in mind.

On Friday, October 1, CMS held an assembly to honor kids who have showcased the skills and work ethic it takes to be proactive which is the first habit of Leader in Me.
Many of the current student athletes and student club/organization members were recognized as well as it takes proactive skills to manage school and other responsibilities.

8 Gold held the second team building competition for The Gnome trophy this week. Congratulations to Mr. Spear’s EPIC class for winning Tug of War!!
Sarah Bush Lincoln Dental Services will be coming to the Charleston Middle School on 1/5/2022.
