I have been teaching 2nd grade at Carl Sandburg since 1998. I am a 1992 graduate of Charleston High School. I currently live in Charleston with my significant other, John, our 3 dogs and 2 cats. I enjoy traveling, shopping, reading and exercising.
Tamara Delude
My name is Tamara DeLude and I have been teaching here at Carl Sandburg since August 2003. I grew up in southern Illinois and moved to Charleston when I started attending EIU. I have my masters in reading and love what I do. I have taught 16 years in First Grade and I am currently teaching Second Grade.

I have been teaching second grade at Carl Sandburg since 2016. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education / Special Education from Eastern Illinois University. I currently have my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a Reading endorsement.

My name is Lexi Gibbons and I am a second grade teacher at Carl Sandburg. This is my first year in the district, I graduated from EIU and decided to stick around because of the amazing community. I am looking forward to a great year! Welcome to Second Grade!

Hello my name is Miss Goodwin and I teach 2nd grade. I grew up watching my mom teach in the classroom and fell in love. I graduated from Charleston schools, then got my teaching degree from Eastern Illinois University. I love watching children's minds grow as they be creative, curious, and learn lots.
Aaron Taylor
Mr. Taylor is a lifelong resident of Coles County and a graduate from Eastern Illinois University. He has served as a primary educator in the Charleston School District for over twenty years. When he's not renovating his home, Mr. Taylor enjoys hiking and spending time with his dog, Poe.

I am from Louisville, IL but currently live in Sigel. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from the University of Phoenix. Previously I have been a substitute teacher and a paraprofessional in the Neoga School District. My husband, Jon, and I have a daughter named Amberlyn, who will be coming to Carl Sandburg with me! We love to be creative as a family. My daughter and husband love to paint and you can usually find me crocheting in my downtime. We love spending time with my nieces and nephews and relaxing on my father-in-law's ranch. I am very excited for my first year of teaching and cannot wait to meet my students!

I grew up in Champaign and attended the University of Iowa. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and continued living in Iowa City for 9 years. I then moved to Charleston, where I earned my teaching certificate and Master's degree, both in Special Education. I currently teach 1st and 2nd Graders and work with them in my classroom as well as in their homerooms. I have a 22-year old daughter who works at Starbucks. She enjoys taking care of and visiting with her customers. We love to watch movies, travel and play with our little dog, Mater!

I have been with Charleston CUSD#1 since 2018 first as a paraprofessional and then as an LBS1. I am currently the K-3 Functional teacher at Carl Sandburg.

I am a Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS) at Carl Sandburg Elementary School. I have been with the Charleston School District for 17 years and have been teaching for 23 years. I love teaching reading and am a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (C-SLDI). I am also certified by the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education as an Orton Gillingham Certified Teacher.
