star student

Each week, 2-3 students at Mark Twain are nominated as our school-wide "Star Students". These students are chosen for being a leader in their classroom and throughout the school. They are acknowledged for the habits they exhibit daily. When a student is a "Star Student" they are recognized in the following ways:
1. During the morning announcements at the beginning of the week, Mrs. Titus announces their name and the ways they are a leader at school
2. Students get their picture displayed in the school and on the website
3. Family gets a positive home visit by the principal, Mrs. Titus, and a yard sign left in their yard for the week
