We are recruiting 2 new mascots to split the Football, Basketball, and other sports’ seasons. We have NEW uniforms and are having tryouts on 8/22 from 5:30-7:30pm in the CHS cafeteria. Anyone interested email Ms. Snoddy for more information. snoddym@charleston.k12.il.us
We are taking orders for a new Grateful Red t-shirt. Order forms can be found in the front office. Payment is due with pickup. One shirt per student. The cost will be $15/shirt or $25 for shirt and eyeblacks.
Anyone interested in esports come to the meeting on Monday the 19th in the esports room at 3:30pm, room 106 in the basement. If you have any questions come see Mr. Gunther or Mr. Shamhart.
The deadline to change your schedule for this semester is Wednesday, August 21 by 3 pm. You must stop by the guidance office to see your counselor, Mrs. Nelson (last names A-K) or Mrs. Meeker (last names L-Z) or send them an email.
During lunch, Freshmen students should be in the cafeteria only.
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, Friday, August 23 you will be able to pick up last year's yearbook during our distribution event during lunch. The event will be held in the cafeteria, so drop in to pick up your book if you purchased one. Our staff will be working tables organized by class. A very limited number of extra copies are available for purchase at $72 per copy. The book we are creating this year is also on sale for the lowest price of the school year...only $55. You can purchase with cash or check with Mr. Cohoon or go online at jostens.com to purchase. If you want your book to be personalized with your name or sports/activities icons you must purchase online.
Cheerleaders still have Cardinals tickets available for September 17th. If any faculty, staff or students would like tickets, please email Mrs. Snoddy or ask a Cheerleader. Tickets are $25.00 each. Unsold tickets have to be mailed back at the end of the day today.
