9/24/24 CHS Announcements

Students, you will be expected to follow our current handbook policy and utilize your lockers to store materials. When you arrive at school it is expected that you put your materials in your locker immediately upon arrival. If you need assistance finding your locker and combination, please find it on skyward under student information.

 

Homecoming is Oct. 12th.  Guest passes are available in the office or with Ms. Keeton. All Guest passes are due OCTOBER 8. NO late forms will be accepted. No exceptions.

 

Homecoming tickets will be $10 each and go on sale September 30-October 7 during lunch times ONLY. No late ticket sales will be made. 

 

The Rotary Youth Exchange is here! The ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE is for high school students ages 15 1/2-18. Most students go on exchange their junior year or the year after graduation, before starting college. We exchange with about 40 countries. CHS has sent 50-plus students on exchange through Rotary. Go to high school, stay with two or three families, learn a language and the culture! It is easy to apply! Come see Ms. Scamihorn to get a flyer about application!

 

Juniors and Seniors- if you are currently enrolled in a dual credit class, a representative from Lake Land College will be here today, Tuesday, September 24 from 11:30-12 in the library to speak with you.  It is important that you attend this meeting.

 

Seniors-If you picked up a Star Scholarship folder in Mrs. Nelson's office they are due back by Friday, September 27. 

 

There will be a CHS Future Teachers Club Meeting on Thursday September 26, 2024 during WIN A in Mrs. Pendergast-White's Room 210.  This is for ANY student who may be interested in working in the education field after high school. This includes teaching in preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school, along with other education positions such as social work, counselors,  and speech pathology. We will discuss community service opportunities, conference opportunities, and the start of the new CHS student organization, Educators Rising.  We'd love to see you there!! 

 

Students-If you have not picked up last year's yearbook please stop by the French Room (Room 300) between classes, during WIN or before or after school. We will no longer be delivering to classes or putting out reminders. Also, don't forget to order this year's book by Friday to get the cheapest price of the year!

 

There will be a girls basketball meeting for anyone interested on Thursday morning  at 8:25am in the drivers ed room.

 

The JV Boys golf match today is cancelled.
