Announcements for Thursday, April 3, 2025

·         Attention Seniors: The 2025 Charleston Rotary Club Scholarship for Charleston High School Graduates that plan to enroll at EIU has been added to the CHS guidance webpage.  The scholarship award is a one-time payment of $2000, payable to the recipient after confirmation of 10th day enrollment status in the upcoming fall semester.  See your guidance counselor with questions.

·         Summer School forms are now available in the guidance office.  Please have forms filled out and turned in to Ms. Deadmond no later than 1 pm on Friday, May 23rd.

·         Get ready for a Night Under the Lanterns Prom! Tickets will go on sale April 21 to April 30. Tickets will be $20 a person and only sold at lunch. There will be no at the door ticket sales. If you are unable to purchase a ticket, please see Ms. Keeton or Ms. Brimner.  Reminder that Guest Passes are due April 25. No late forms will be accepted.

·         Juniors and seniors need to check your school email and fill out the google doc for post prom. 

·         Seniors – the Josten’s rep will be here today during lunch in the cafeteria.  She will have cap and gowns and other items that have not been picked up yet. She will be there to answer any questions you may have.

  • The Charleston High School Performing Arts Club is excited to announce their musical theatre production of “Anything Goes.” You can purchase your presale tickets for the show online at https://charlestonhs.booktix.com/ or, on the days of the shows, 45 minutes before the start of each performance.  We encourage you to buy your tickets ahead of time to avoid lines at the door and to ensure that you can sit together with your friends since it is assigned seating. The show runs for 4 performances on April 3rd and 4th at 7:00 pm and April 5th and 6th at 2:00 pm. Hope to see you there!

  • Trojan Brew will be open during lunch this week. Stop by and enjoy a mid-day pick me up!

  • Early dismissals for today: JV and Varsity baseball leave at 2:10.  Boys and girls track leave at 2:30. Tennis at 2:30.
