Announcements for Tuesday, April 8, 2025

Good morning CHS!

·         Summer School forms are now available in the guidance office.  Please have forms filled out and turned in to Ms. Deadmond no later than 1 pm on Friday, May 23rd.

·         Don’t forget Prom tickets on sale from April 21 to April 30 for $20 and sold at lunch. There will be no at the door ticket sales. See Ms. Keeton or Ms. Brimner with questions. Reminder that Guest Passes are due April 25.

·         Trojan Brew will be open Tuesday through Friday in the mornings.  They will also be open every day during lunch. 

·         Next week, students in grades 9 and 10 will take the PreACT and students in grade 11 (and a few grade 12) will take the ACT. This will happen on Tuesday, April 15th. To have a smooth and successful test day, be sure to charge your laptop the night before, get plenty of rest, and be at your test room by 8:45 a.m. Test room rosters will be posted later this week. 

·         National Honor Society new members have a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, April 9th during WIN B in Ms. Peterson’s room.

·         Fling into spring with us by coming down to the Thread n’ Gold room.  We have a variety of men and women’s spring and summer attire and other things you might need!  We are in room 107 in the basement.  Make sure you completely fill out the request card and remember that everything is free!

CHS dance team is having open gyms, clinics, and tryouts coming up.  The open gyms are not required, but highly encouraged.  Open gyms are April 30 and May 7 in the CHS auditorium from 6-7pm.  The clinics are required in order to tryout for the team.  The clinics are May 12th and 13th in the CHS Auditorium and also May 15th in Baker Gym.  Tryouts are May 16th from 4:30 to 7 pm. 

·         March’s attendance totals are as follows: Freshman 98.30%, Sophomores 97.92%, Juniors 98%, and Seniors at 97.44%.  Once again Freshman won the competition, but it was very close between the Juniors and Freshman.  Please finish the year strong by making it a priority to come to school every day.  Stay tuned Freshman for your prize.

Boys track needs dismissed at 3 today. Varsity baseball dismissed at 2:20.
