Announcements for Monday, April 14, 2025
Good morning CHS!
· Summer School forms are now available in the guidance office and due by 1 pm on Friday, May 23rd.
· Prom tickets are on sale from April 21 to April 30 for $20 and sold at lunch. There will be no at the door ticket sales. If you are unable to purchase a ticket, see Ms. Keeton or Ms. Brimner with questions. Reminder that Guest Passes are due April 25.
· Trojan Brew will be open Tuesday through Friday in the mornings and everyday during lunch.
· Tomorrow, students in grades 9 and 10 will take the PreACT and students in grade 11 (and a few grade 12) will take the ACT with Writing. To have a smooth and successful test day, be sure to take your laptop home tonight and charge it, get plenty of rest, and get to school on time. Test room rosters have been updated and are posted in the Media Center, outside the Lecture Hall, and in the cafeteria. Good luck to all of you testing!
· Mandatory Student Council meeting Wednesday morning at 8:00 in Ms. Keeton’s room.
· Hop into Spring with our new Men and Women’s Spring wardrobe and other items you might need. By coming down to the Thread n’ Gold room in room 107 in the basement. Make sure you completely fill out the request card and remember, everything is free!
· CHS dance team is having open gyms, clinics, and tryouts coming up. The open gyms are not required, but highly encouraged. Open gyms are April 30 and May 7 in the CHS auditorium from 6-7pm. The clinics are required in order to tryout for the team. The clinics are May 12th and 13th in the CHS Auditorium and also May 15th in Baker Gym. Tryouts are May 16th from 4:30 to 7 pm.
· CHS Cheer Tryouts are Today through Thursday next week from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the West Gym. All paperwork including teacher recommendations are due Monday by 3:00 p.m. in order to tryout. If you're in another sport or CHS activity that conflicts with one or more of the tryout days, please communicate with Mrs. Snoddy ASAP to figure your tryout days out.
· JV softball and varsity baseball cancelled for tonight.
· Boys track dismissed at 3:10 today.
