Students in Mrs. Swim's Anatomy class are completing a project focusing on the harmful effects of vaping. The project allows students to learn how different flavors of vaping negatively impact lung tissue.
CHS: Congratulations to senior Sydney Bennett (pictured with her parents), who was surprised today by representatives from Indiana State University awarding her a Presidential Scholarship.
CHS: Mr. Hudson’s Honors Algebra 1 students explored the number pattern that is Pascal’s Triangle and created one to share with the school.

Seniors, make sure you are checking the CHS Scholarship webpage. We just added the Merv Baker Athletic Achievement Scholarship to the local scholarship page. If you have any questions or need any help with scholarships come down to the guidance office.
The Illinois Department of Public Health has recommended to the Coles County Health Department that all Charleston High School JV and Varsity Boys Basketball Student-Athletes and coaches quarantine through February 20. As a result, all CHS Boys Basketball Games from February 9th to February 20th have been postponed.

CHS Basketball Fans - Two important clarifying points. Players will be given game passes to distribute as they see fit. There are no extra tickets, and none will be sold. You must have your pass to get in.
There will be no spectators for Away fans at any Apollo Conference schools. Links will be provided prior to all non-conference contests. All 8th grade parents should have received high school registration paperwork in the mail. If you would like a phone conference with a high school counselor please sign-up through Skyward by Friday, January 8. You can contact the high school guidance office with questions.
New scholarships have been added to the CHS guidance scholarship webpage. Jordan Holly Memorial Scholarship, Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship, and Donald J. Lindley And Belle H. Lindley Scholarship were all added today! All CHS seniors should go check them out!
