CMS art students are in need of wooden chairs (we will also take rocking chairs and stools) for a project. We need 25 - if you have any that you are ready to part ways with, please contact Miss Thompson at the middle school.
Thanks!

REMINDER: Tomorrow is School Picture Day at Charleston Middle School!

CMS 8 Gold students in Mr. Spear's math classes found their voices, were impressive during class discussions, and collaborated well to build their class period's Social Contract. It is how we (myself included) agree to treat one another - even in times of conflict. #cmscusd1

The health and safety of our students is of the utmost importance. Therefore, due to excessive heat warnings, all contests are cancelled for Charleston High School and Charleston Middle School through Thursday. We will reevaluate Friday for that night's activities. Coaches will communicate with their teams on potential practice changes. Please contact Mr. Mayhall at CMS or Mr. Deadmond at CHS with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your understanding.

Charleston Middle School held a school kickoff celebration today with games, activities, a scavenger hunt, guest speakers from EIU athletics, a community luncheon, and so much more! It was a great first day!

Aminia Lynch and Sarah Morrison had a school supply drive for Charleston Middle School. They were able to get enough donations for school supplies to fill more than 40 backpacks with school supplies for the upcoming school year. They also donated many extra supplies such as binders, pencils, and tissues. Charleston Middle School appreciates the donations from the Charleston community, and we appreciate Mrs. Lynch and Mrs. Morrison organizing this fundraiser.
