Mrs. Golden’s class learned about this history of Gingerbread. They were surprised to hear that it was so old! The first known recipe dates back to 2400 BC in Greece. After learning the history, they made their own gingerbread house. The class decorated gingerbread cookies for Santa in hopes that Santa would fill their stockings!

JES 4th graders recently learned about op art, and positive and negative space. They created an organic shape and switched the positive and negative space in each section. Pictured are the 4th grade awesome artists.

In Mrs. Goldens class the students have been learning about renewable resources. The class had to use supplies to construct a windmill. We set them up to simulate a windfarm. We learned that blade design and the angle of the blades in connection with wind direction make a big difference.
