Mrs. King's and Mrs. Golden's class recently visited the Honeybee Cafe in Mattoon, Illinois for a special learning experience. During the trip, students focused on developing important social skills, how to properly eat at a restaurant, how to order their food by looking at the menu, and how to practice good table manners. It was a fun and educational outing that allowed students to practice these valuable life skills in a real-world setting. #JeffersonCUDS1
Although the weather had other plans today, our support for our Special Olympics athletes never stops. Today was all about hype, heart, and high fives! 🙌 Our students and staff showed up BIG to support our amazing Special Olympics athletes—and the energy was unreal. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. JES held their very own Special Olympics. Events included Mini Javelin, Softball Throw, 50-Meter Run❤️ 💛 #JeffersonCUSD1
Mrs. Shambo's class made flower seed bombs in honor of Earth Day. We planted them and the students will be take one home to plant. We learned about how important the pollinators are for our planet and wanted to help support them. #JeffersonCUDS1
