T is for Twin Day


Carl Sandberg third graders participated in a spelling bee this past week. The winners were: 1st place Judson Morgan and 2nd place Zoie Crist. The second picture shows the top two representatives from each class who got to participate after winning in their classrooms.



Carl Sandburg students enjoyed listening to the Jefferson 6th Grade Band, the Jefferson Chorus, and Maximum Forte in an assembly today. They also got to learn about the different types of instruments and different vocal levels.

Mrs. Brown's class recently raised ten Painted Lady butterflies. Today, they released the butterflies into their new habitat - the outdoor classroom at Carl Sandburg!

Mr. Williams was the mystery reader in Miss Decker's class today. He read "Who's On First?" by Abbott & Costello.





Mr. Paul's class enjoyed a pizza parry with the EIU Women's Basketball team for raising the most money for the EIU CARES game! Way to go!
