The Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format that allows the document to be viewed and printed the same way on any device. Many paper worksheets and resources that teachers used to distribute as a physical copy now have to be distributed in PDF format. When you open a PDF file, by default it opens in the browser Microsoft Edge, and you are very limited in what you can do to the PDF file.
PDF EDITING
Usually a PDF will automatically open for in a web browser. The Edge browser has limited tools for editing the PDF.
In order to have more options for editing a PDF document, you need go to the location where the file is saved and open it with a different app, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. You do that by right-clicking on the file and choosing “Open With”. Once you are done editing the file, you will have to save a new revised version of the file to be submitted to your teacher.
